Tough Transition
Well, it has started. T is starting to slowly transition back into her parent's home. She has had twice weekly visits for 2 hours that have been happening for awhile now. The visits had taken place at the Health and Welfare office, under the supervision of the social worker. Two weeks ago, the visits moved to her parent's home, without supervision. And today she had an unsupervised visit from 9:30-5:00. From now on, her parents will have her every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00-5:00. It seemed weird not to have her around today. But it was more than weird, it was sad. It is going to be so hard to say goodbye to her because she was truly our first "child" and taught us so much about ourselves as parents. I tried to look at the bright side of things and thought that it would be an opportunity today to get in a nap. But, alas, J decided that he wanted to be wide awake all afternoon and my idea of a nap went right out the window.
